MEASUREMENT OF ELECTRICAL INSTALLATIONS

Measurements of electrical installations play a crucial role in assessing their technical condition in terms of safety and reliability of their operation.

The following objects are subject to inspection of low voltage electrical installations:

  • residential,
  • commercial,
  • public utility,
  • industrial,
  • agricultural and garden,
  • prefabricated buildings,
  • construction sites,
  • exhibitions,
  • trade fairs,
  • medical facilities.

In addition, measurements and testing of electrical installations should be carried out at makeshift installations, photovoltaic devices, low-voltage generator sets as well as other installations and electrical devices powered by them.

The results of acceptance or periodic tests serve as the basis for making appropriate decisions regarding electrical installations and associated equipment being put into further operation, extending their operational period, performing necessary repairs and maintenance, or even decommissioning them.

Measurements of electrical installations, depending on the timing and scope of the measurements, are divided into acceptance testing and operational (periodic) testing.

Acceptance testing and measurements

Electrical installations should be verified before commissioning and after any significant modification. Acceptance testing aims to confirm that the work has been carried out properly in accordance with the requirements of the relevant standards and regulations.

The scope of acceptance testing is usually broader than that of periodic testing and includes performing the following tasks:

  • verification of documentation,
  • visual inspection of installations and/or equipment,
  • testing and measurements of relevant parameters,
  • functional testing of the device’s and/or system’s operation.
We look forward to working with you.
