THERMAL IMAGING TESTING AND MEASUREMENTS
Thermal imaging testing is currently a crucial element of diagnostics in various fields of technology.
Any object with a temperature above absolute zero is a source of infrared radiation, and its intensity depends on the temperature and surface characteristics of the object.
Thermal imaging apparatus is a type of television sensitive to a specific range of infrared radiation. Image creation involves capturing the radiation emitted by the observed object with a camera and then converting it into a color temperature map. A properly functioning connection should not have a temperature higher than the temperature of the connected elements. In addition, in the case of symmetrical loading of current paths, the temperatures of the elements of adjacent phases should be comparable.
Our company specializes in thermal imaging diagnostics of electrical substation equipment, switchgear, machines and drives, as well as thermal imaging diagnostics of building structures.
The specialists at Ośrodek Pomiarów i Automatyki S.A. have many years of experience in thermal imaging studies of power switches, disconnectors, transformers, surge arresters, current and voltage transformers, high and medium voltage and Low Voltage switchgear.
Thermal imaging technology allows for non-invasive diagnostics in detecting, among other things:
- technological defects in building partitions, insulation errors, thermal bridges, dampness, and air filtration issues,
- the location of hot water pipes, as well as leaks and defects,
- increased resistance for switchgear of all voltages, transformers, electrical cabinets, damaged fuses, HV lines and all electrical connectors,
- poor condition of thermal insulation of boilers, pipelines, insulated ducts, electrostatic precipitators, ladles,
- poor condition of gas supply lines,
- faulty mechanical equipment,
- Indispensable in any situation where temperature distribution is important.
